Comfortable, welcoming atmosphere, good music. The coffee is strong but not overwhelming, rich coffee flavor. Would taste good with whiskey.

RoeLA (as in monROE, LA) is a gem in downtown Monroe! Their fresh-roasted beans grace our kitchen counter, but I love stopping by on the way to work for an amazing drink or a simple hot coffee.
This locally owned coffee shop roasts its' own beans. Owner/creator Byron offers several roasting styles/options using excellent quality beans from around the globe. The coffee bar has plenty of options to choose from if you're looking for a cup on the go, along with healthy options for breakfast or snack like Hope Bars. Byron recently began offering a home cooked lunch special a couple of times a week.
The employees are super polite and helpful. I suggest the Vietnamese coffee -- not too sweet, but not too bitter.
