I recently went in knowing I wanted a bike, but not knowing much about bikes or how to select one. After asking a few questions about what sort of riding I wanted to do, they recommended a few models, let me test ride them out front, and I walked out a short while later with a new bike that I have greatly enjoyed riding since. They also recommended that, after a month or so of riding and breaking everything in, I should bring the bike back for a quick tune up at no cost. I think that says a lot - they aren't concerned with just selling you a bike, they want to make sure you continue to have a pleasant riding experience.
